For guests
How do I book accommodation?
Search for accommodation by entering dates, location and number of guests. When you find accommodation, send a booking request. Once the host has approved, you can sort out the details via the messaging system.
What happens if I need to cancel?
- Before payment: cancel for free at any time
- 14 days or more before check-in: 50% refund
- Less than 14 days before check-in: no refund

The service fee is non-refundable.
Can I transfer my booking to someone else?
Yes. If someone else is travelling in your place, you can transfer the booking from your booking page under My pages. The recipient must already have an Eventboende account and the transfer must be made before check-in.
Dates, price and terms do not change when the booking is transferred. No refund is created automatically, so any payment between you and the new guest is handled outside Eventboende.
How do I contact the host?
Once you have made a booking you get access to a messaging system where you can communicate directly with your host. You can ask questions about the accommodation, get directions or coordinate check-in times.
When and how do I get access to the accommodation?
Check-in time is stated in the listing and in your booking confirmation. The host is responsible for giving you access information (key, code lock or personal handover) before the stay, and you will find the host's contact details in the booking confirmation.
For late arrivals, contact the host directly. If the host is unreachable, we can help at support@eventboende.se or 073-313 70 06.
Are the accommodations verified?
There is no formal verification process at the moment. When a host creates a listing, they commit in the terms of service to provide correct and truthful information, have the right to rent out the accommodation and comply with local regulations.

What is included in the price?
What is included varies between accommodations. Each listing clearly specifies which facilities and services are included in the price.
How do favourites work?
Click the heart to add an accommodation as a favourite. That way you can easily find it again later. To use favourites you need to be logged in.
For hosts
Who can become a host and rent out?
The platform is aimed at private individuals and non-profit clubs who rent out their accommodation temporarily. This can be:
- Your home, cabin or room — when you're travelling away anyway
- The club's premises, cabin or overnight rooms
You don't need to be a professional landlord. Many hosts rent out once a year — during the event.
How do I create a listing?
Creating a listing is easy. Log in or create an account, click "Create listing" and follow the steps.

How much does it cost for me as a host?
It is free to list or receive booking requests. You set the price for your accommodation yourself.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes. As a host you can cancel a confirmed booking yourself from your booking management. Cancellation should only be done when really necessary. If the host cancels, the guest receives a full refund. Contact support directly if the situation is urgent or if you need help with follow-up.
Can I subscribe to my bookings in my calendar?
Yes. As a host you can subscribe to your bookings so they appear in your own calendar and update automatically.
Payment
Do I have a right of withdrawal on my booking?
No. Bookings of accommodation on a specific date are exempt from the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the Distance Contracts Act — the same exemption that applies to hotels and other accommodation services.
However, you can cancel according to our cancellation policy, which in many cases gives the right to full or partial refund if cancellation is made well in advance of check-in.
What is refunded if I cancel?
What is refunded depends on the type of fee and how far in advance you cancel:
- Accommodation price — refunded at 50% if cancellation is made at least 14 days before check-in. With shorter notice there is no refund of the accommodation price.
- Additional fees (cleaning fee, breakfast, sheets and towels) — always refunded in full, regardless of when you cancel.
- Service fee — never refunded upon cancellation.

Is VAT included in the price?
Yes. All prices are shown in Swedish kronor (SEK) including any applicable VAT. Most accommodations are rented by private individuals or clubs and are normally VAT-exempt. Where the host conducts rental as a business, 12 % VAT is included in the accommodation price. The service fee to Eventboende Sverige AB includes 25 % VAT. No additional fees arise beyond what is shown in the price summary.
How do I pay as a guest?
When the host has approved your booking, you receive a payment link by email. You pay with Swish by scanning a QR code — the money is deducted immediately. You receive a receipt by email when payment is completed.
When does payment need to be made?
For bookings made more than 30 days before check-in, payment must be completed no later than 30 days before check-in. For bookings made 30 days or closer to check-in, a payment deadline of 48 hours applies. If payment is not completed on time, the booking is automatically cancelled.
When do I as a host get paid?
Payout is made automatically via Swish the day after check-out, provided you have verified your Swish number in your profile. If you have entered a bank account instead, payout is handled manually and may take a few extra days.
Why do I need to verify my Swish number?
In order for us to send payouts automatically, we need to know that the Swish number belongs to you. You verify by scanning a QR code in your profile and approving a payment of SEK 1 — the krona is refunded immediately. You only need to do it once.
Why is the service fee 0 SEK?
The host is one of the platform's pioneers and helped test Eventboende from the very beginning. As a thank-you, the service fee has been removed on their bookings — you as a guest pay a little less than usual.
How do I make a complaint about a booking?
Email support@eventboende.se or call 073-313 70 06 as soon as possible — no later than 48 hours after check-out. Include the booking number, describe the issue and attach photos if possible. We will get back to you within 3 business days and make a decision within a reasonable time. It is free to make a complaint.
How do we make payment safer?
Tips for safe handling:
- Complete payment via the payment link on the platform
- Check booking details and payment deadline before paying
- Save receipts and relevant communication
- Use the messaging system on the platform
Club support
What is the club support?
Clubs can rent out accommodation just like any other host on Eventboende. With each completed booking, 50% of the service fee goes to the club — with no extra work or cost.
Other
Is Eventboende connected to any event?
No. Eventboende is an independent marketplace for private accommodation during events in Sweden.

Eventboende is created by Isak Lagerblad from Mora, who has himself rented out his home for many years.

What happens if I have a problem with the accommodation?
If you encounter a problem with your accommodation, first contact the host directly via the messaging system. If the problem persists, contact our support.
What happens if the accommodation does not match the listing?
If the accommodation materially differs from what was promised in the listing, contact us as soon as possible at support@eventboende.se or 073-313 70 06. We commit to investigating the matter and can if necessary grant a refund, partial refund or help you find alternative accommodation.
The host's payout may be withheld during the investigation to protect you as a guest.
